• The engine number ("engine code" and "serial number") are located at the front of the engine/transmission joint.
• There is also a label located on the upper timing chain cover with the "engine code" and "serial number".
• The engine code is also included on the vehicle data labels.
• If a replacement engine is installed, this has no engine number. The character sequence on the sticker on the upper timing chain cover from the replacement engine is made up of the "Identification RR4 (short block R4)", "serial number", "Engine Location" and "factory of assembly".
