2. Selector Mechanism Functionality Test

Test step 2.1

• Engine running, "D" position selected, and vehicle speed greater than 4 km/h (2.5 mph).

-- Engage the "N" position.

"N" position is engaged.

-- Engage the "R" position. "R" position is not possible.

"N" position is engaged.

-- Then engage the "D" position without applying the brakes; vehicle speed is greater than 4 km/h (2.5 mph).

It must be possible.

Test step 2.2

• Engine running, "D", "R" or "N" position is selected, vehicle speed = 0 km/h (0 mph).

-- Select the drive position "P" :

"P" position must be displayed on the Selector Lever Transmission Range Display -Y5-.
