Assembly Mount, Adjusting: Procedure

-- Support the engine in the installation position. Refer to ENGINE, SUPPORTING IN INSTALLATION POSITION .

-- Slightly pretension the engine/transmission assembly using the Engine Support Bridge - Spindle :10-222A/11  . Do not lift.

Audi A1 from MY 2018/TT from MY 2015:

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the retainers -arrows- and remove the cover -2- from the engine compartment E-box.

-- Remove the nut -1- and free up the electrical wire.

-- Release the retainers -arrows- and open the cover -2- from the engine compartment E-box.

-- Remove the nut -1- and free up the electrical wire.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, tie up the bracket to the side, for that, disconnect and free up the connector -1-.

Audi A3 from MY 2021/Q2 from MY 2016/Q3 from MY 2019:

-- Remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If still installed, remove the nut -2- and free up the ground wire.

Audi TT from MY 2015:

-- Free up the wires -2- on the air filter housing bracket -1- using the Pry Lever :80-200  .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the bracket.

-- Free up the wiring harness -3-.

-- Remove and replace the bolts -arrows- for the engine mount one after the other (if this was not already done when the engine was installed).

-- Install the bolts loosely.

-- Slide the engine/transmission assembly with an extractor lever until the following dimensions are set:

• The clearance between the engine support -2- and the engine mount -1- must be at least -a- = 10 mm.
• The casting edge on the engine support must be parallel to the engine mount support arm.
• Distance of at least -a- = 10 mm can also be checked with corresponding round stock.
• Dimension -b- = dimension -b-.

-- Tighten the bolts on the engine mount.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- for the transmission mount -1- one after the other and replace them (if this was not already done when the engine was installed).

-- Install the bolts loosely.

-- Make sure that the edges of the support arm and the transmission mount are parallel on the transmission side.

• Dimension -x- = dimension -x-.

-- Tighten the transmission mount bolts.

-- Install the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Only remove the engine support, when the assembly mount bolts are tightened to tightening specification. Refer to ENGINE, SUPPORTING IN INSTALLATION POSITION .
