Fuel Injection Pump: Installation
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Install injection pump in position. Line up mark on front cover with mark on injection pump mounting boss. Install attaching nuts and bolts.
- Connect throttle cable and speed control cable, if equipped. Remove protective caps and install fuel inlet hose to fuel line on left fender apron. Connect fuel return hose to fuel return line on let fender apron.
- Connect fuel return hose to fuel return line on left fender apron. Connect vacuum hoses to altitude compensation valve. Connect nozzle return line to injection pump.
- Connect electrical connectors to microswitch, fuel shut-off solenoid and injection timing solenoid. Connect coolant hoses to idle speed boost housing. Install fuel lines to nozzles.
- Position new intake manifold gaskets on cylinder head and install manifold. Install diagnostic plug bracket on cylinder head. Connect turbocharger pressure indicator switch connector.
- Install sprocket on injection pump. Install Injection Pump Aligning Pin (T84P 9000 A), in sprocket attaching washer and nut. Install and adjust camshaft drive belt. Install camshaft belt cover.
- Install fan and clutch assembly. Adjust injection pump timing. Start engine and check for fuel, coolant and oil leaks. Adjust curb idle, fast idle and transmission TV cable.
