Pressure Transmitter Test

  1. When conducting this test make sure of the following: Engine idle and maximum speed are correct, temperature dependent idle speed boost is canceled, and that injection pump control lever is resting on idle stop.
  2. Connect vacuum pump on top connection of pressure transmitter and vacuum tester on bottom connection. Vacuum should be at more than 14.2 in. Hg.
  3. Hold injection pump control lever in defined angle position with help of Special Tool (13 2 000). In this position the control vacuum should be 9.7 in. Hg with an inlet vacuum of at least 14.8 in. Hg.
  4. If vacuum is not within specified tolerances, it must be corrected by changing length of connecting rod. Shorten rod to increase control boost pressure and lengthen to bring down control boost pressure.
