Steering Column: Description

The steering column consists of a padded steering wheel with horn contact, turn signal/dimmer switch, windshield wiper/washer switch, and an anti-theft steering column lock/ignition switch.

The columns on the 325e, 524td, 528e, 535i, 635CSi and 735i are telescoping, while the 318i column is fixed in position. All columns are connected to steering gear by universal joints and a flexible coupling.
