Test 9: Throttle Position Switch (TPS)

Check that switch is properly installed and firmly seated. To determine throttle sensor resistance values, use volt/ohmmeter connected across switch terminals. Check resistance at part throttle opening and full throttle opening. See THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH RESISTANCE  table. If values are incorrect, adjust or replace sensor as needed.
