System Operation Check

Turn ignition switch to ON position No. 1. SRS warning light should illuminate and then go out after 6-10 seconds if no fault codes are present. The following conditions indicate SRS is malfunctioning, and an SRS fault code will be stored in control unit memory:

• SRS light does not illuminate when ignition is turned on.
• SRS light does not go out after 6-10 seconds.
• SRS light remains on after engine is started.
• SRS light comes on or flickers while driving.
