Engine Speed Reference Sensor

  1. With ignition off, disconnect engine speed reference sensor connector (located near front crank pulley). Turn ignition to RUN position. Ensure about 5 volts between harness side connector Black wire and ground. If voltage is not present, check wiring for open or short between connector and MCU terminal No. 47.
  2. Check for about 5 volts between harness side connector Black wire and Yellow wire. If voltage is not present, check wiring for open or short between connector and MCU terminal No. 48. If wiring is okay, replace sensor as needed. Resistance of engine speed reference sensor is 490-550 ohms.
