Test 3 - Dynamic Speed Sensor

NOTE: Measure with wiring harness and control unit connected.
  1. Connect "T" plug with adapter "A" to ABS wiring harness connector. Connect "T" plug with adapter "B" to ECU. Connect service tester lead to adapter "A". Red light should come on. Switch to position No. 3 on adapter "A". Raise vehicle, and spin wheels at steady speed within nominal periods (15.7-17.4 milliseconds) until 100 percent appears.
  2. If nominal values are not reached, ensure wheel rotation is uniform and no dirt is present between pulse wheel and sensor. Check condition of pulse wheel teeth. Check clearance between speed sensor and pulse wheel. Repair or replace pulse wheel as necessary.
