Check Function

Control unit supplies CHECK ENGINE light with ground potential as soon as an exhaust emission-related defect is detected. As a check, CHECK ENGINE light comes on constantly after ignition ON and as soon as engine is running (if no exhaust emission-related defect code is stored).
