Oil Temperature Sensor
If the displayed oil temperature in BMW service tester status monitoring does not agree with the actual status, measure resistance of the oil temperature sensor with the control unit disconnected and ignition switched off. See OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR CHECK table. If values deviate, check wire and plug-and-socket connection from control unit to transmission and repair if necessary. If okay, replace wire harness in transmission control unit.
