Key Interlock Cable

Remove shifter handle by firmly pulling straight upward. Do not twist handle. Using appropriate trim tool, remove shift selector cover with shift boot. Disconnect harness connectors as needed. Remove outer trim/switch plate. Disconnect harness connectors as needed. Remove storage tray from center console. Unfasten screws securing support tray. Slightly pull support tray out and disconnect switch and cigarette light harness connectors. Remove support tray.

Ensure selector lever is in Park position. Loosen set screw securing cable housing clamp. Ensure ignition switch is in "0" position. Push down on interlock lever. Interlock lever is connected to cable end. Tighten cable housing clamp set screw. Check interlock cable operation. Install components in reverse order of disassembly.
