Front (E65)

NOTE: The camber must be adjusted first. See FRONT (E65)  under CAMBER ADJUSTMENT.
  1. Move steering gear and wheels to straight ahead position. Markings on cap (1) and on housing (2) must match up on steering gear. See Fig 1.
  2. Loosen lock nut (1) on tie rod, gripping tie rod in so doing. Adjust wheel toe-in by turning tie rod axial joint at hexagon head (2). See Figure. Adjust to specification. See E65  under WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS.
  3. Make sure steering sleeve is not twisted. Grip tie rod and tighten down lock nut (1) to specification. See E65  under TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
