Possible Faults
NOTE:
Coil interruption or short-circuit cannot be detected.
The following faults can be distinguished from fault entries:
- High temperature control occurs when generator is overloaded. To be safe, generator voltage is reduced until generator has cooled down again. Charge indicator lamp does not light up.
- Mechanical fault occurs when generator is mechanically blocked or belt drive has failed.
- Electrical fault occurs when there is an exciter diode defect, excite interruption or overvoltage due to controller defect.
- Communication failure occurs when there is a wire defect between engine control and generator.
