Toe-In Adjustment: Front

NOTE: The camber must be adjusted first. See CAMBER ADJUSTMENT  .
  1. Move steering gear and wheels to straight ahead position. Markings on cap (1) and on housing (2) must match up on steering gear. See Fig 1 .
  2. Loosen lock nut (1) on tie rod, gripping tie rod in so doing. Adjust wheel toe-in by turning tie rod axial joint at hexagon head (2). See Fig 2 . Adjust to specification. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS  .

  3. Make sure steering sleeve is not twisted. Grip tie rod and tighten down lock nut (1) to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
