Possible Faults
NOTE:
Coil interruption or short-circuit cannot be detected.
- High temperature control: generator is overloaded. To be safe, generator voltage is reduced until generator is cooled down again. Charge indicator lamp does not illuminate.
- Mechanical fault. Check if generator is mechanically blocked or belt drive has failed.
- Electrical fault. Check for Exciter diode defect, excite interruption or overvoltage due to controller defect.
- Communication failure. Check wiring between engine control and generator.
