13 62 651 Replacing control sensor (M57T2)

Special tools required: 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

WARNING: Scalding hazard!
Only perform this task on an engine that has cooled down.

Unlock plug connection and pull out of guide.

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Unclip cable.

Release oxygen sensor (1) with special tool 11 7 020 .

Installation: 

Tightening torque: 11 78 1AZ .

Installation: 

Threads of new oxygen sensors are already coated with Never Seez Compound.

If an oxygen sensor is reused, only apply a thin and uniform coat of Never Seez Compound to thread.

Oxygen sensor section projecting into exhaust system branch must not be cleaned or come into contact with lubricant.

Pay attention to cable routing of oxygen sensors.

Cover oxygen sensors when applying underseal.

Installation: 

Now clear the fault memory.
