11 15 015 Remove/install/replace engine ventilation line
Observe any relevant notes in the applicable BMW parts catalogue.
If necessary, individually replace broken connectors (connections) without having to replace all engine ventilation lines.
Nominal width for the connectors of the engine ventilation line: NW19
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove both INTAKE SILENCER HOUSINGS .
- Loosen the connecting lines on the engine ventilation line.
Unclip the connectors (1) and (2) from the bracket.
Unlock connectors (1) and (2) and disconnect.
Release screw (1).
Release both screw bosses (2).
Feed out carrier plate (3).
Unclip the cable for the oxygen sensors in the highlighted area.
Version 1:
Use a screwdriver (3) to unlock the latch mechanisms (2) one after the other.
Simultaneously pull off the engine ventilation line (1).
Version 2:
Unlock the latch (1) and simultaneously pull it off the engine ventilation line (2).
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 11 12 10AZ .
Version 1:
This is a bayonet fitting!
Turn the engine ventilation line (1) in the direction of the arrow and then pull it off the cylinder head cover.
Version 2:
This is a bayonet fitting!
Turn the engine ventilation line (1) in the direction of the arrow and then pull it off the cylinder head cover.
Replacing connectors:
Release lock (1).
Completely disassemble the lock (1).
Pull off the connector (2) from the engine ventilation line.
Make sure the O-ring (1) has been installed correctly.
The O-ring (1) must not be damaged.
Coat the O-ring (1) using lubricant (part no. 83 19 9 407 771) .
Connect the connector (2) to the engine ventilation line.
Part: Nominal connector width 19.
Position the lock (1).
Completely press in the lock (1).
Make sure the lock (1) engages audibly.
