11 00 670 Secure engine in installation position

Special tools required:

WARNING: Danger of injury!
Observe following instructions relating to special tool: 
  1. Prior to each use, check the special tools for defects, modifications and operational reliability.
  2. Damaged/modified special tools must not be used!
  3. No changes or modifications may be made to the special tools!
  4. Keep special tools dry, clean and free of grease.

Release screw (1) from left engine compartment lock.

Modify the engine bridge 00 6 100 using special tools 00 6 130, 2 365 070, 00 6 052 and 11 0 000 to match the motor vehicle.

With the help of an assistant, fit the entire cross-member 00 6 100 onto the vehicle.

(1) = rear right support point.

Attach the chains to the engine.

Slightly pretension the spindle (1) of the engine support beam.

WARNING: Danger of injury!

Tighten down all adjusting screws, knurled screws and nuts on cross-member 00 6 100 and on special tool 00 0 490.

IMPORTANT: Avoid a change of engine position in the transverse or longitudinal direction!
Always make sure there is sufficient clearance between the engine (or its add-on parts) and the body.
