SITUATION
With the introduction of BMW Remote Software Upgrade, all Service Pack 18 vehicles and partial Service Pack 15 vehicles may receive new functionalities or modifications in their features with a new Software Update. These are performed either via-
- ISTA
- Remote Software Upgrade
This bulletin summarizes the changes per Software Update and shall providing support for informing the customer about the intended functional changes.
After vehicle programming via ISTA or Remote Software Upgrade (RSU) with the model-dependent I-Level S18A-21-03-5xx or S15A-21-03-5xx, the customer complains that some functions have changed in their vehicle.
All vehicles with some of the following optional equipment are affected:
Option Code 6U3 - BMW LIVE COCKPIT PROFESSIONAL
OR
Option Code 6U2 - BMW LIVE COCKPIT PLUS
OR
Option Code 6U1 - BMW LIVE COCKPIT
CAUSE
Future integration of new functions or operating concepts in the vehicles to maintain the vehicles at the current state-of-the-art.
CORRECTION
In case of a customer complaint, inform the customer about the intended function changes.

- Include enhanced information-The "control criteria" describing which vehicle configuration (E-Series, I-Level, option code, etc.) criteria are required per described feature
