Door Trim Panel: Installation

  1. Install courtesy lamp assembly or courtesy lamp cover (if equipped) by connecting electrical connector and applying pressure to fully seat clips to door trim panel (2). See Fig 3 .
  2. Pull electrical connectors through respective cutouts in door trim panel.
  3. Replace any damaged retainers on door trim panel and install door trim panel, using a clean rubber mallet to seat retainers (1).
  4. On front door panel, install screw between armrest and map pocket opening. On rear door, install screw below rear edge of carpeted section. Tighten screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install armrest.
  6. Install inside pull handle.
  7. Install screws underneath pull handle.
  8. Connect power door lock connector to power door lock switch, if equipped.
  9. Tighten setscrew (5) connecting mirror control knob to bezel assembly (7) and snap bezel assembly to door trim panel. See Fig 2 .
  10. Verify lock rod is connected to manual lock rod lever (126). See Fig 1 .
  11. Install side window switch floodlamp (if equipped) by twisting 90 degrees to secure.
  12. Install and tighten screw (8) connecting bezel assembly (7) to door trim panel (2). See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  13. Connect power seat (if equipped) and power window connector to armrest switch plate (3). See Figure .
  14. Snap armrest switch plate (3) in to door panel to secure.
  15. Connect negative battery cable.
