Front Door Latch Module Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  .
  2. Move upper half of water deflector to gain access.
  3. Remove rear glass run channel retainer and screw. See REAR WINDOW RUN CHANNEL RETAINER  .
  4. Remove rivets (72) using a 1/4" drill bit. See Figure .
  5. Remove screws (74).
  6. Remove outside door handle rod (67) from door latch (70).
  7. Remove lock cylinder rod (71) from door latch (70).
  8. Disconnect wire harness from lock actuator connector.
  9. Remove door latch module assembly (73).
