ALDL Diagnostic Request Line

  1. Turn ignition to RUN position. Ensure ANTI-LOCK indicator turns off after 3-4 seconds. If indicator remains on, a fault is still present and must be corrected.
  2. Place a jumper between pin "A" and pin "H" of ALDL connector. See Figure. Connector is located under dash, near middle of instrument panel. Disconnect jumper to pin "H" for approximately one second, then reconnect jumper to pin "H". Repeat this procedure 4 times within 10 seconds.
  3. Leave jumper wire connected after the 4th time. Note ANTI-LOCK indicator. Code 12 should be displayed. If other codes are displayed, repeat code clearing process. After codes are cleared, wait a minimum of 15 seconds before turning ignition off.
