Left Front Window Does Not Operate
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a test light, backprobe between Dark Blue wire and Brown wire terminals at master switch connector. While observing test light, press left window switch at master switch to up and down positions. If test light is on, go to next step. If test light is off, check for poor connection at master switch. If connection is okay, replace master switch.
- Backprobe between Black wire and Brown wire terminals at master switch connector. While observing test light, press left window switch at master switch to up and down positions. If test light is off, go to next step. If test light is on, check for poor connection at left front window motor. If connection is okay, replace left front window motor.
- On Century, repair open in Dark Blue wire or Brown wire between master switch and window motor. On Ciera, disconnect power window control module connector, located behind right side of instrument panel, near A/C module. Backprobe between Brown wire terminal at master switch connector and Brown wire terminal at control module connector (left window switch).
- While observing test light, press left window switch at master switch to up and down positions. If test light is off, repair open in Brown wire or Dark Blue wire between control module and master switch. If test light is on, connect fused jumper between Brown wire (left window switch) and Gray wire terminals of control module connector.
- Press left window switch at master switch to up and down positions. If window moves up and down, check for poor connection at control module. If connection is okay, replace control module. If window does not move up and down, repair open in Gray wire between control module and left front window motor. If wire is okay, replace left front window motor.
