DTC B2735, Pass-Key(R) Programming Mode Active: Testing

  1. If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. Perform BCM programming procedure for PASS-Key(R) II system. See THEFT DETERRENT RELEARN  under BCM PROGRAMMING. Go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If DTC B2735 sets again, go to next step. If DTC B2735 does not set again, system is operating properly.
  4. Using scan tool, check for PASS-Key(R) II DTCs B2722 or B2723. If either of these DTCs are present, go to appropriate DTC test. If these DTCs are not present, go to next step.
  5. Turn ignition off. Replace BCM. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Reprogram BCM. See BCM PROGRAMMING. Go to next step.
  6. Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
