DTC B2805, RFA Programming/Diagnostic Mode Message Not Received: Notes

BCM can enable transmitter programming/diagnostic mode of receiver. BCM will detect and prevent any message collisions on Remote Function Actuator (RFA) link. BCM also receives programming signals from Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) when attempting to enable transmitter programming/diagnostic mode..

DTC B2805 will set when BCM expects to receive a program signal from RCDLR, and it does not after 2 unsuccessful tries. No driver warning message will be displayed. RCDLR will not enter transmitter programming/diagnostic mode.

Under all conditions, ignition switch must be cycled from OFF to RUN position for current DTC B2805 to change to a history code. If conditions for malfunction no longer exist, history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles. DTC B2805 will also clear when scan tool is used to clear codes.

NOTE: If DTC B2805 is a history code, problem may be intermittent. Wiggle wires while performing the following test.
NOTE: When ignition switch is turned to RUN position with BCM disconnected, PCM related DTC P1626 will be set. After BCM repair is completed, see appropriate TESTS W/CODES article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. Refer to menu below.
