DTC B2806: RFA Link Parity Error: Description

When any button on keyless entry transmitter is pressed, a radio frequency signal is sent to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). RCDLR then decides which message to send the BCM (according to which button was pressed), which will allow BCM to operate door lock actuators, courtesy lights or remote alarm.

DTC B2806 will set when BCM detects a message with a parity error it does not recognize from RCDLR. No driver warning message will be displayed. A current DTC B2806 is cleared automatically at conclusion of message containing parity error. If conditions for malfunction no longer exist, history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles. DTC B2806 will also clear when scan tool is used to clear codes.

NOTE: When ignition switch is turned to RUN position with BCM disconnected, PCM-related DTC P1626 will be set. After BCM repair is completed, see appropriate TESTS W/CODES article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section:
