DTC B2806: RFA Link Parity Error: Testing
- If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, see procedures in BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Using keyless entry transmitter, individually push lock, unlock and panic buttons. If these functions operate properly, go to next step. If these functions do not operate properly, go to step 4).
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Using keyless entry transmitter, individually push lock, unlock and panic buttons. Check for DTCs. If DTC B2806 is set, go to step 5). If DTC B2806 is not set, go to step 11).
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect BCM connectors. Using DVOM, check voltage between BCM Pink 32-pin harness connector C1, terminal C15 (Black wire) and ground. If reading is less than 8 volts, go to next step. If reading is not less than 8 volts, go to step 6).
- Disconnect RCDLR. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . Using DVOM, check resistance between BCM harness connector C1, terminal C15 (Black wire) and RCDLR harness connector terminal "E" (Black wire). If resistance is 2 ohms or less, go to step 9). If resistance is not 2 ohms or less, go to step 10).
- Reconnect BCM connectors. Using power door lock switch, unlock and lock doors. If doors unlock and lock, go to step 10). If doors do not unlock and lock, go to next step.
- If DTC B0807, B0823, B2202, B2203, B2802 or B2803 are also set, go to appropriate DTC test first. If these DTCs are not set, go to next step.
- Replace BCM. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Reprogram BCM. See procedures in BCM PROGRAMMING . Go to step 12).
- Replace RCDLR. Go to step 12).
- Repair poor connection or open in Black wire between BCM connector C1 and RCDLR. Go to step 12).
- System is operating properly at this time. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS. After any repairs are made, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If any DTCs are current, perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK . If no DTCs are current, system is operating properly.
