Theft Deterrent Relearn

NOTE: If theft deterrent relearn procedure is not performed when Body Control Module (BCM) is replaced, vehicle may not be protected by PASS-Key(R) II system or engine will not crank or start.
NOTE: Ensure battery is fully charged before performing this procedure. Programming theft deterrent relearn will take about 30 minutes.
  1. Turn ignition off. Turn ignition on. SECURITY warning indicator light should come on for about 10 minutes, then turn off. When indicator light turns off, turn ignition off for 5 seconds.
  2. Repeat previous step 2 more times, for a total of 3 10-minute ignition cycles. Turn ignition off. Start engine. Vehicle should now start.
