DTC B1013: Calibration ROM Checksum Error: Description
Internal fault detection is addressed inside BCM. No external circuits are involved. BCM runs a program to detect an internal fault when "power up" is commanded. The only requirements are voltage and good ground. When DTC is set in memory, BCM refuses to accept all additional inputs.
DTC B1013 will set when BCM detects an internal memory malfunction. A current DTC B1013 will clear from memory when BCM makes a successful write function to EEPROM and check sum maneuver. A history DTC B1013 will clear from memory after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if condition for setting code is no longer present.
