DTC B2648: Ambient Light Sensor Circuit High: Description

The BCM uses ambient light sensor input to control automatic headlight system. DTC B2648 will be stored in memory if BCM detects greater than 4 volts or an open on 5-volt reference circuit more than 0.3 second while commanding headlights ON. SERVICE VEHICLE SOON light will be illuminated when this code is stored in memory.

A current DTC B2648 will clear if BCM detects no open or voltage drops to less than 4 volts on 5-volt reference circuit. A history code B2648 will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if conditions for setting DTC are no longer present. A scan tool may be used to clear DTC B2648.
