Low Tire Pressure Indicator Inoperative

  1. Perform tire inflation monitoring diagnostic system check. See TIRE INFLATION MONITORING DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Observe LOW TIRE indicator in instrument cluster. If LOW TIRE indicator illuminates for about 3 seconds and then goes out, system is okay. If LOW TIRE indicator does not illuminate for about 3 seconds and then go out, go to next step.
  3. Suspect instrument panel cluster. Perform instrument panel cluster diagnostic system check. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article. After repair, go to next step.
  4. Operate system that caused the symptom to occur. If symptom is still present, go to TROUBLE SHOOTING  . If symptom is not present, system is okay.
