Test 1: All Windows Inoperative

  1. Check power window circuit breaker in instrument panel fuse block. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If circuit breaker is open, go to step  7 . If circuit breaker is not open, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect master switch assembly connectors. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a test light, backprobe between ground and master switch assembly connector Yellow wire terminal. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step  6 .
  3. Using a test light, backprobe between master switch assembly connector Black wire and Yellow wire terminals. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step  5 .
  4. Replace master switch assembly. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
  5. Repair open circuit in Black wire between master switch assembly and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  6. Repair poor connection or open in Yellow wire between master switch assembly and instrument panel fuse block. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  7. Repair short to ground in Yellow wire between master switch assembly and instrument panel fuse block. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
