With Scan Tool (Century, Intrigue & Regal)

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below left side of instrument panel, to right of steering column. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
    2. NOTE: Scan tool must stay connected until all transmitters are programmed.
  2. Using scan tool, select BODY CONTROL MODULE SPECIAL FUNCTION, then PROGRAM KEY FOBS. Press and hold LOCK button and UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of 15 seconds, horn will chirp 3 times to confirm programming of that transmitter. Follow directions on scan tool to program other transmitters.
  3. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove scan tool. Operate transmitter(s) to verify correct system operation.
