Reverse Servo: Installation
- Jack up the driver side (channel plate side) of the car until it is higher than the differential side. This ensures that the reverse band is in the proper location and not cocked to the channel plate side of the case.
- Install the servo spring. See Figure . Install the servo assembly. Install the reverse servo cover with new O-ring seal. See Figure . Install the snap ring.
- Install the shift cable lever to the manual shaft. See RANGE SELECTOR CABLE . On models with 3.4L engine, install the throttle body air inlet duct. On models with 3.8L engine, install air cleaner assembly.
NOTE:
Follow this procedure exactly or the transaxle will have no reverse gear due to the servo pin missing the band.
