Basic diagnosis of fuel system should begin by checking fuel pump operation and fuel pressure.
WARNING:
High fuel pressure may be present in fuel lines and component parts. ALWAYS release fuel pressure before disconnecting any fuel injection-related component. DO NOT allow fuel to contact engine or electrical components.
