Installation Procedure

Install the TP sensor.
Apply thread-locking compound GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or equivalent to the TP sensor screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the two TP sensor screws.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer toFuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L36)Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L67) in Engine Mechanical-3.8L.
