Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information
- Remove the lower air deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle and Deflector Replacement - Lower
in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement
in Engine Mechanical - 3.1L.
- Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
- Note the routing of the sensor harness before removal.
- Remove the harness retaining bolt (4) and the clip (3).
- Remove the CKP sensor bolts (4).
- Remove the CKP sensor (1).
