Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump Electrical Connector

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the secondary air injection (AIR) pump electrical connector.

  4. Squeeze the tangs together on the AIR pump inlet hose clamp at the pump until they lock, and reposition the clamp.
  5. Remove the AIR pump inlet hose from the AIR pump.

  7. Squeeze the tangs together on the AIR pump outlet hose clamp (3) at the pump until they lock, and reposition the clamp.
  8. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  10. Squeeze the AIR pump electrical connector clip (1) and push up in order to remove the clip from the bracket.
  11. Remove the AIR pump nuts (2).
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Remove the AIR pump.
