Removal Procedure

- Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
- Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the secondary air injection (AIR) pump electrical connector.

- Squeeze the tangs together on the AIR pump inlet hose clamp at the pump until they lock, and reposition the clamp.
- Remove the AIR pump inlet hose from the AIR pump.

- Squeeze the tangs together on the AIR pump outlet hose clamp (3) at the pump until they lock, and reposition the clamp.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

- Squeeze the AIR pump electrical connector clip (1) and push up in order to remove the clip from the bracket.
- Remove the AIR pump nuts (2).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the AIR pump.
