Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (L26) .
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (L26) .
    3. Fig 1: Disconnecting/Reconnecting Electrical Connector To CMP Sensor

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the camshaft position sensor (1).

  4. Remove the camshaft position sensor bolt.
  5. Remove the camshaft position sensor from the engine front cover.
