Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Air Cleaner Upper Housing, Cover Bolts & MAF Sensor

  1. Install the air cleaner upper housing (2).
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the 6 air cleaner housing cover bolts (1) and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
  3. Install the mass air flow sensor (3) to the air cleaner upper housing (2). Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .

  4. Install the air cleaner outlet duct (1). Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  5. Connect the mass airflow sensor wiring harness plug (2).
  6. Clip in the ECM wiring harness (3) the air cleaner housing.
