WARNING: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning . CAUTION: Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution . CAUTION: Always connect or disconnect the wiring harness connector from the EBCM/EBTCM with the ignition switch in the OFF position. Failure to observe this precaution could result in damage to the EBCM/EBTCM. Preliminary Procedures Prepare electronic brake control module for replacement. Refer to Control Module References . Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Remove the BPMV from BPMV bracket. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement .
1	Electronic Brake Control Module Bolt (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 3 N.m (26 lb in)

3	Electronic Brake Control Module Procedure Carefully separate the EBCM from the BPMV, do not pry the components apart. Clean the sealing surface of the BPMV with denatured alcohol and a clean shop cloth and allow to dry. Fill the master cylinder reservoir. Program the EBCM, IF installing a new EBCM. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Programming and Setup . Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) . Perform the automated brake bleed. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed . Perform a diagnostic system check. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle . If equipped, calibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration . Centering the steering angle sensor. Refer to Steering Angle Sensor Centering .
