- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9)

- Remove Battery Negative Cable Ground Fastener (1)
- Remove Battery Negative Cable (2)

- Remove Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (1)
- Remove Battery Positive Cable (2)

- Remove the positive battery cable protective cap from the generator terminal (1).
