Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) 
  2. Remove Drive Belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  4. Remove Front Compartment Front Center Insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Front Center Insulator Replacement
  5. Remove Front Wheel Drive Shaft-Right Side. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side

  6. Remove Generator Terminal Protective Boot (1)
  7. Remove Generator Nut (2)
  8. Remove Battery Positive Cable (3)
  9. Disconnect Electrical Connector (4)

  10. Remove Generator Bolts (1) (Qty: 2)
  11. Remove Generator Mounting Nut (2)
  12. Remove Generator Mounting Stud (3)
  13. Remove Generator (4)
