Preliminary Procedure
- With the vehicle in accessory mode, remove fuse to unlock the steering column lock control module. Refer to Ignition Lock Schematics
- Ensure the steering wheel and the front wheels are in the straight ahead position.
- Remove Steering Column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement

Steering Column Lock Control Module Bolt
Procedure
- Use a small hammer and chisel to remove the OLD steering column lock control module bolt.
DISCARD the bolt.
- Install the NEW steering column lock control module bolt and tighten until the bolt head breaks off.

Steering Column Lock Control Module Procedure
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Before installation, apply the appropriate service grease pack to the NEW steering column lock control module. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Program the steering column lock control module. Refer to Control Module References
