Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: BPMV Bracket

  1. Install BPMV Bracket (1)
    2. Fig 2: BPMV Bolts

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install BPMV Bolts (1) (Qty: 2) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  3. Install EBCM/BPMV and Bracket Assembly (1)

  4. Install BPMV Bracket Bolt (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  5. Install Left Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft)

  6. Install Right Front Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft)

  7. Install Left Front Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft)

  8. Install Right Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft)

  9. Install Master Cylinder Primary Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

  10. Install Master Cylinder Secondary Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  11. Connect the EBCM electrical connector.
  12. Install Radiator Surge Tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement - Install
  13. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)
  14. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
  15. Observe the brake pedal feel after performing the diagnostic system check. If the pedal now feels spongy, air may have been in the secondary hydraulic circuit of the brake modulator which may have been introduced into the primary circuit. If the pedal feels spongy, bleed the antilock brake system. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed
