Steering Gear Boot Inner Clamp Procedure
- Cut the steering gear boot inner clamp.
DISCARD the clamp.
- Use the CH-804
pliers to install a NEW steering gear boot inner clamp.

Steering Gear Boot Procedure
- After removing the steering gear boot, inspect the steering linkage inner tie rod for evidence of corrosion or contamination.If corrosion or contamination is evident, replace the steering gear. - Install the steering gear boot and ensure the boot is seated in the assembly groove of the steering gear before installing the steering gear boot clamps.
