Installation Procedure

  1. Transfer components as necessary.
  2. Front Side Door Latch - Install

    NOTE:

    Install the outside handle bracket (1) and the front side door latch (2) as an assembly to the vehicle.

  3. Front Side Door Latch Bolts (1) [4x] - Install 11 N.m (97 lb in).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Install and torque the four latch bolts in proper sequence to prevent damage to the latch mechanism.

  4. Front Side Door Outside Handle Bracket Fastener - Install 4.7 N.m (42 lb in)
  5. Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement 
  6. Electrical Connector (1) @ Front Side Door Outside Handle Bracket - Connect

  7. Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement
  8. Electrical Connector @ Front Side Door Latch - Connect
  9. Position the window to the window regulator and reinstall the rear rail to the door.Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Driver Side) , or Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Passenger Side)
  10. Remove the masking tape from the front side door window and frame.
  11. Inspect the door latch and outside handle for proper operation before installing the door trim.
  12. Front Side Door Water Deflector - Install
  13. Front Side Door Armrest Bracket Replacement
