Preliminary Procedure Remove the liftgate lower trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Replacement .
1	Liftgate Latch Screw (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
2	Liftgate Latch Assembly Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector. Adjust the liftgate if needed. Refer to Liftgate Adjustment (Chevrolet) , and Liftgate Adjustment (Buick) .
